Why Choose Us

Why study with TOCES?

Studying with The Open College of Equine Studies means joining a community of learners across the world who are supported every step of the way. Whether you’re looking to build a foundation or continue your professional development, TOCES courses are designed to fit around your lifestyle.

Can I study from outside the UK?

Absolutely. Many of our courses are 100% online. There’s no need to travel unless you choose to attend one of our in-person workshops or your course includes study weeks.

Do I need experience with horses?

Not necessarily. We offer programmes for complete beginners, those returning to study, and professionals looking to upskill.

Is practical training available?

Yes! Students can choose to attend optional CPD workshops or, in the case of some qualifications, required practical study weeks held at our purpose-built Equine Education Centre.

What if I have a disability or learning difference?

We’re committed to inclusive education. If you need additional support, we’ll work with you to make reasonable adjustments so you can succeed on your own terms.
